Construction progress at RheinPark Duisburg
Our large-scale play structure for the IGA 2027 is taking shape

A new play area is taking shape at RheinPark Duisburg that is already exciting us: Duisburg’s largest inclusive playground is being built across more than 4,000 m² and is set to open in 2027 as part of the International Garden Exhibition. At its heart is a large FHS play structure that invites children of all ages to play together, explore, test their limits and embark on new adventures.
What makes this project so special for us is the combination of imagination, technology and real added value for children and families: green roofs on the play tower, our own solar panel technology, black light inside the tower and a completely newly developed interlocking system make this large-scale play structure an extraordinary project — and a milestone in our company’s history.

Here at FHS, we are incredibly proud to be bringing this wonderful project to life. With every component, every stage of assembly and every new idea, it is not just a piece of play equipment that is taking shape, but a place full of interaction, activity and joy.
On this page, we’ll take you on a journey and show you in pictures how this special project is taking shape step by step — from the initial construction progress to the finished inclusive playground for the IGA 2027.

An impressive milestone
A special milestone on 18 May 2026 at RheinPark Duisburg: the tallest tower of the FHS large play structure is suspended from a crane and is being lifted into precise position on top of the lower section. Our staff are demonstrating real precision in this process – because high quality is important to us at every stage of the work.
We are grateful that everyone is supporting this special project with such enthusiasm, and proud to have such a great team at FHS.
